Reveal Saved Password in Google Chrome, Chromium, Firefox

It occurs to us many times that we end up forgetting the passwords or typing the wrong ones, thats why the browsers offer password saving technology and some like google chrome also link them with your google account. But what occurs is we usually forget the 'Text Behind Asterisks'.

To cope up with this, here is an easy way free of any Javascript or Cryptic Coding due to which there is always a fear of password loss to strangers unless you are a well trained hacker.

The steps for 'Chrome', 'Chromium' are as follows:

  1. Open 'Settings'.
  2. Click on the tab 'Personal Stuff'.
  3. Click on 'Manage Saved Passwords' button.
  4. Select the Password you want to reveal.
  5. Last Step is to click on the 'Show' button and Voilá ! the password is out.
The steps for 'Firefox' are as follows:

  1. Click on the Firefox button(Firefox 4.0 or greater). For Linux or Firefox versions lesser than 4.0, click on 'Edit'.
  2. Open 'Preferences'.
  3. Click on 'Security' tab.
  4. Click on 'Saved Passwords' button
  5. Click on 'Show Passwords' button and confirm exception. Voilá ! the password is out.
